70th Birthday Reunion

Event Details

At 70 years of age, we think we warrant a birthday party! Register above. Here are the details:

Saturday and Sunday, September 10-11

Our Saturday evening main event, a tri-tips and chicken dinner, will be held at the TRAC Center at 6600 Burden Blvd in Pasco. Our MC for the evening will be our very own Lois Davey Osborn. On Sunday, we will gather at the gazebo in Volunteer Park (across the street from what was McLoughlin Jurnior High School), for a no-host meet and greet. See the details below for both of these events:

Saturday, September 10

4 PM:   Meet and greet at the TRAC Center in Pasco. We will be videoing short interviews of our willing classmates in ones, twos, or threes. Those interviews will be published on our facebook page and class website. Naturally, there is no cost for the video. (The finished product will look a lot like the video that Allen Johnson created for the Pasco High School Class of 65, which can be seen here.)

5 PM:  The bar will be opened.

6:30 PM: Dinner buffet: Tri-tips and chicken. Special dietary meals upon request (contact Jan Cruzen Francis at jan@trisafeguard.com to arrange for a special meal).

8-10 PM: Photo booth. This is a fun way of getting current photographs of old classroom buddies.

8-11 PM: Dancing to the music of a hip and swinging DJ. Single men and women are welcomed to join in; no partner needed. The dance will be open to the classes of 62-66 and other friends of the class of 64.

Sunday, September 11

8 AM: River Walk beginning at the very end of Lee Boulevard in Howard Amon Park in Richland.

8 AM: Badger Mountain Hike beginning at 1294 White Bluffs Street in Kennewick.

9 AM: Breakfast or coffee at Rosy's Diner at 404 Bradley Blvd, Suite 106, Richland.

11 AM to 4 PM (or as late as folks want to linger): A no-host lunch at the gazebo in Volunteer Park in Pasco. BRING YOUR OWN FOOD. Bottled water will be provided. All friends and relatives of the class of 64, as well as classmates from 62,63,65, and 66, will be invited to join the fun. Unless you are flying into Pasco, please bring your lawn chairs--the more the better.

Cost

The only cost is $35/person for the Saturday night banquet. We hope you will come to join the fun on both days. However, if you choose to only attend the Sunday gathering at Volunteer Park, there is no cost for that. We'll just be happy to see you.

You will have the option of paying by credit card or by mailing a check to Jan Cruzen Francis. Either way works fine, However, we save a 6% service fee if you send the check to Jan by mail (the regestration above will guide you thought the process).

Hotels

There are two new hotels near the TRAC Center in Pasco. The first is My Place at 6830 Rodeo Drive, 509-545-2186. The second is Holiday Inn Express at 4525 Convention Place, 509-547-7000. A third hotel, the Hampton Inn and Suites, is currently under construction and is due to be completed in May, 2016, well before our event.
