William Turner VIEW PROFILE

William Turner

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Neil Turner in Sierra Vista, Arizona. Born in Brainerd, Minnesota, Bill passed away on April 30, 2022 at the age of seventy-eight.

After graduating from Pasco High School in 1964, Bill trained as a welder at Columbia Basin College. For the next twenty-one years, he applied his welding skills by building ships for Lockheed. He then transferred to Boeing where he joined forces in the building of airplanes until his retirement in 2002.  During that time, he helped build the first Boeing 777.

Bill loved to fish, camp, and travel. He and his wife, Barbara, took many cruises around the world.

Bill worked hard to keep in touch with family and friends.

For years, he took great joy in volunteering in and around Sierra Vista, Arizona. For example, Bill volunteered at the thrift store at Fort Huachuca for many years--mostly doing maintenance of all kinds. Known as "Mr Fixit," Bill could do plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and much more.  He loved to help whenever help was needed.

Bill and his wife, Barb, had a blended family of seven children and eleven grandchildren.

He was loved and cherished by so many including his parents, Oliver Turner and Hazel Turner; his wife, Barbara Turner; and his children and grandchildren.

I remember Bill as a kind gentle person always with a smile and very pleasant to be around. He always seeed to care. We played football as team members of the PHS Bulldogs.
I have very fond memories of this gentleman.
